There was plenty of good news for Accies today. First of all, player/boss Alex Neil (left) signed a new 12 month rolling contract to remain in the role as Accies head for the Premiership. This was richly deserved at the end of a fantastic first full season in charge.

There was big news on the goalkeeping front, with Kevin Cuthbert, one of the heroes of that day at Easter Road, declining the contract offered to him and leaving the club after two great seasons. Arriving to replace Kevin is Michael McGovern, who was so impressive for Falkirk last season and was rewarded with a spot in the SPFL Championship team of the season. Michael has been given a 12 month contract.

Finally, defender Kieran MacDonald has arrived from Clyde on a 12 month contract. Kieran had been with the Bully Wee since October 2012 and made 45 appearances for them. He was also rewarded by the SPFL by being named in the team of the season for 2013-14.
