Raith Rovers v Accies Preview
Accies will need to ensure they have no post cup final hangover when they travel to Fife to face a resurgent Raith Rovers at Stark's Park. Accies had been in great form in the three games prior to last Sunday's disappointment and the job for Billy Reid is to get them back on track. The team news for Accies is that Martin Canning (left) is likely to return after suspension while Mark Stewart should be fit after being injured in the final at Livingston. The bad news is that Lee Kilday has been ruled out with a slight hamstring strain and Ali Crawford is not yet ready to return after being out of the side for a number of weeks. Jordan Kirkpatrick and James Martin both drop out last week's travelling squad but midfielder Graeme MacGregor, 18, who is with us to gain experience 'on loan' from Bolton, and striker Louis Longridge, 20, are included for the first time. Louis was an amateur signing in January.
Accies wil have painful memories of their two most recent visits to Stark's Park, with both ending in defeat. The most recent was a 3-2 reverse in November. Rovers have been battling at the foot of the league for some time but have shown their resilience with consecutive draws against Ayr United, Dundee and Ross County (with the last two being away from home.) Consequently they will surely be tough opposition who will fancy their chances on Saturday.
Accies fans will be in the McDermid (North) Stand. Admission: Adults £17, Schoolchildren £9, Senior Citizens £9, Parent & 1 child £20.
