Our u19s unfortunately lost on Thursday night at home to Stenhousemuir in the semi final of the SFL u19 Youth League Cup, the warriors netting an 86th minute goal just as everyone was preparing for extra time. It was the only goal of the game. Accies had a few chances in the game, Ali Crawford, Stuart Mills and Calum Hendrie all testing Stenny 'keeper Scott Johnstone who was in top form. Stenhousemuir now travel to face Raith Rovers in the final on Sunday. We lined up - McLachlan, Afzal, Sheridan, Mackay (Fagan 87), McQueen, Collins, Mills, Kirkpatrick, Hendrie (Team 58 ), Crawford, Gow On Saturday our 11s and 12s face Motherwell at NDP, while on Sunday our 13s and 14s travel to Aberdeen with our 15s facing Aberdeen at The Bent (1pm) and our 17s hosting them at NDP at 1pm. The 17s game will follow the photo opportunity with the trophy at NDP on Sunday morning (10am - 12noon). |

Goalkeeper Bryn Halliwell (left) has now left the club and been released. He was made a contract offer, like many other squad members, but, as is normal, was within his rights to speak with other clubs. It was put to both the player and his agent that, that being the case, we would then pursue other goalkeepers as the Manager wished the goalkeeping situation to be tied up quickly.
Accordingly we have now reached agreement with Dunfermline Athletic and we have now signed Sean Murdoch for a fee from the East End Park club. Billy Reid said "Sean is someone I know and have worked with at Accies before and I'm delighted to sign him on a two year deal. Bryn played a big part in our championship success this season, he has been great for us with a succession of clean sheets, and he goes with our very best wishes." |
